We were so happy to welcome Bob Zukowski and his grandchildren to the Green Garage last week during community lunch! Bob worked in the Green Garage building long before it was the Green Garage. In 1944, when he was 13 years old, he joined S. Kanners & Co., the wholesale shoe supply business that then called the building home. His first job was shoveling coal in the basement, but by the time he retired in 1990, he was a co-owner of the business. Learn more about the history of our building here.
