A group of Green Garagers works from our open air 3 season room on a beautiful sunny Wednesday.
Today's community walk found a group of Green Garagers checking out a number of artworks installed around Wayne State as part of the Detroit Institute of Arts "Inside Out" program. Here's a piece we really liked, "Mother and Child" by the Nigerian artist Solomon Wangboje, installed on Cass in front of Old Main.
With May comes the beginning of the composting season at the Green Garage. We've been collecting food scraps, coffee grounds, and compostable paper products in these bags all winter -- by mid-summer, they'll have made a great compost to spread in our gardens, nurturing our local ecosystem.
