Week of May 26
Business-in-residence Ribbon Farm Hops installed their first single pole trellis, soon to be strung with hops, over the weekend! They're working closely with Detroit Tube Products, a manufacturing business that's been in Detroit for over 100 years, on the design and manufacture of the trellises.
Week of May 19
The GG Tuesday walking group made its way to the East Ferry Historic District today, home to the Inn on Ferry Street, among many other beautiful, late 19th century homes.
Elizabeth and Pete from Michigan Corps getting ready for this week's community lunch presentation. They'll be discussing MI Corps' Social Entrepreneurship Challenge. Bring a lunch and join us for the conversation! Starts at noon on Friday.
Week of May 12
The Green Garage Tuesday walking group headed over to neighborhood tea shop SocraTea today and enjoyed a very refreshing Mango-Pineapple iced tea (and cookies, of course)! A perfect destination on an 80-degree day!
Week of May 5
Members of the Green Garage coworking community started taking lunchtime walks to various sites around our neighborhood this week. Our first destination was the McGregor Memorial Reflecting Pool at Wayne State, a beautiful public space designed by Minoru Yamasaki in 1958 and restored just last year.
