They're joining Red Panda, a guitar effect pedal maker, and 44FortyFour, a letterpress shop, on the the workshop side of the building. Week of March 23, 2015
Congratulations to business-in-residence Enhanced Transition Center, a young Detroit startup focused on helping young people with disabilities transition from secondary education to college or full-time employment. They just won a grant from Kiva Detroit to purchase some key resources that they need to grow!
Construction on the El Moore, the 1898 apartment building we're renovating down the street from the Green Garage, is nearing completion! We presented an update on the project during community lunch this week.

Business-in-residence Red Panda's guitar effect pedals, assembled and tested right here in the Green Garage, are off to the South by Southwest conference and festival in Austin this week!
Last year marked the publication of the Detroit Anthology, which collects Detroit-themed writing from a diverse group of contributors. This week during our community lunch, Keith Owens and Francis Grunow, two of our community members and writers-in-residence, performed readings of their contributions.

When Susan Murphy moved into the Green Garage in 2012, it was as a market researcher. Three years later, after taking the plunge and pursuing her dream to open a community bookstore in the city of Detroit, Pages Bookshop now has a permanent home in NW Detroit!

The Green Garage is home to a library with a collection that's focused on sustainability, Detroit, and business leadership. Visit anytime during normal business hours (M-F, 8-5) to check out (or donate!) a book. You can also browse the collection online.
