      • Considering some sort of interaction outside of Green Garage (Boxing kids, school connections, etc.)
    • Cave Day
      • Third Friday of month unless otherwise noted on Labs Calendar
      • Generally intended to be for deep analysis, extended calculations, or enhanced documentation of previous activities that are not well suited to group activity (busy work or catch-up activities)

    • Cave Day Plan (see above)
    • Today's Project: GG IAQ Study 1.0 - Winter Phase
  • Conclusions - Suggestions
    • Open windows when outside air conditions are favorable
    • Provide dilution air by recirculating main building air through conference room when occupied (fan, transfer ducts, etc.?)
    • CO2 scrubber
    • Add plants that are best at cleaning indoor air of excess CO2
    • Confirm CO2 heavier than air and increase height of conference room seating or relocate to back mezzanine with perforated floor so CO2 can drop down to first level. Make lower area napping space. Consider moving Imaginarium couches to lower conference room area.
    • Have conference room occupants sign a waiver for reduced productivity.
    • Develop chart that correlates window crack opening to number of occupants in conference room based on wind speed and direction and air temperature.

    • EPA EnergyStar Portfolio
      • Any value to using for GG buildings? Database worthwhile? Maybe just for tracking?
      • It is a recognized benchmarking tool. It has its flaws and limitations and can be somewhat cumbersome. Not a bad place to start and it really doesn’t take that much time once you get the hang of it.
      • Professionals usually like to use more than one benchmarking tool to cross check.
    • DOE Building Energy Score
      • More complex than EnergyStar; generally DOE is a better source than EPA for energy related topics.
    • DOE Standard Energy Efficiency Data Platform
      • A new data platform gaining traction from DOE.
    • DOE Bldg Performance Database
      • Anonymous building performance data that can be sorted; data contributed on volunteer basis by bldg owners.
