Chestnut dining table made by Dickinson by Design, one of the businesses located in our annex. The wood for his table actually began as a sapling in the 1600's and was cut down in the 1880's and hand-hewn into a barn. The barn came down 5-10 years ago. The table now resides with Kevin Gardner's family in suburban Detroit.

Week of January 6
With Detroit currently experiencing its coldest temperatures by far since we rehabbed our 1920 building, we're delighted to report that the solar thermal heating system is holding up well! The building's only about one degree colder today than the temperature we keep it at throughout the season, 69F. You can find more information about our heating system here.
